Contracting and Pre-Buy Options

Contracting, also known as pre-buying, allows you to purchase your estimated propane needs for the upcoming heating season at a set price. This price is locked in regardless of how the market price may change during the winter months, allowing you to budget more effectively.

100% Upfront Payment

This option requires the full payment for your estimated propane needs upon signing the contract, ensuring you don’t need to worry about future payments.

Budget Plan

Spread your contracted amount over equal monthly payments, avoiding a large lump-sum payment and allowing you to predict your monthly propane expenses throughout the year.

  • How much propane should I purchase?

We are happy to help you estimate your propane usage for the upcoming season. We base the estimate on a few factors, including your previous  usage patterns, the size and efficiency of your home or business, and any expected changes that might affect your propane needs.

  • What happens if I use more or less than the contracted amount?

If you use more than the contracted amount, additional propane will be billed at the current market rate. If you use less, the unused prepaid amounts will be rolled over to the next season.

  • Is contracting right for me or my business?

Contracting is a great option if you want to protect against potential price spikes, prefer to have a set budget for your energy costs, and feel comfortable estimating your propane needs for the season.
